BaggageTAXI is your trusted online technology platform, we provide on-demand & scheduled pick-up, storage, same day storage, short-term and long-term for personal items and more, offering seamless convenience for travelers & residence - giving you full control over your time and travel plans. In addition we may offer tailored solution such as Airline, VIP, FPO, Butler services throughout our partner network.

 

BaggageTAXI operates these services and also uses a network of verified partners that provide, storage solutions and secure transportation, whether you need to store your belongings for a few hours, days, or even months.

 

To access our services, you may be required to create an account and/or provide valid payment information. Please ensure that all details you provide remain accurate and up to date.

Terms of Service

 

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) between you (“Customer”, “you”, “your”) and BaggageTAXI related Services including but not limited to the (i) BaggageTAXI website www.BaggageTAXI.com including any and all other sites that redirect to our Website, any subdomains and any web or mobile applications that relate to the Services (operated by BaggageTAXI or by any of our partners) [ (“Website”), (ii) the BaggageTAXI App (“App”), (iii) BaggageTAXI plan, (iv) BaggageTAXI subscription and (v) any products, or services made available to you by us (collectively, “Platforms”). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Services offered by BaggageTAXI.

Your access and use of the Platform and/or the Services constitute your express agreement to be bound by these Terms and establishes a contractual relationship between you and BaggageTAXI.

1. Services & Interpretations & Definitions

Unless defined elsewhere in the Terms, the following definitions are set below:

  1. Account / Member: A user account created by you, whether as a customer or as an independent service provider of BaggageTAXI (including but not limited to drivers, third-party contractors, etc.), for the purpose of accessing or using the Platform and/or Services.
  2. Arriving Service: A service wherein Customers arriving at an airport have pre-booked delivery of their baggage to any designated address within the arrival city. Handlers shall wait free of charge for up to thirty (30) minutes after the booked arrival time.
  3. Baggage & Items: Collective references to personal belongings entrusted to BaggageTAXI for collection, storage, delivery, or transport. The terms “Baggage” and “Items” may be used interchangeably.
  4. Baggage Collection: The act of BaggageTAXI collecting or picking up your Baggage/Items from the specified address in accordance with your Booking details. Collection shall be performed curbside unless otherwise specified for airport arrivals.
  5. Booking: A confirmed reservation of Services accepted by BaggageTAXI and communicated to the Customer.
  6. Booking Request: A formal submission by a Customer or user to reserve any BaggageTAXI Services. Only registered Members may submit Booking Requests payable by cash.
  7. Bulk Items: Sport Equipment - Bulk sporting goods, including but not limited to bicycles and golf bags.
  8. Collection Point: The address or location designated in the Booking from which BaggageTAXI will collect the Customer’s Baggage.
  9. Collection Time: The time window specified in the Booking during which BaggageTAXI is scheduled to collect the Baggage from the Collection Point. A grace period of thirty (30) minutes applies for the Handler’s arrival.
  10. Daily Storage Fees: Charges incurred on a daily basis for the storage of Baggage at BaggageTAXI facilities.
  11. Departing Service: A service whereby Customers departing via airport arrange for baggage handling and delivery, subject to the specific terms in Section 8.
  12. Delivery: The transportation and handover of your Baggage by BaggageTAXI from the Collection Point to the Delivery Point.
  13. Delivery Point: The location specified in the Booking to which BaggageTAXI shall deliver the Customer’s Baggage.
  14. Delivery Period: The time frame within which the Customer is required to receive or collect the delivered Baggage, as detailed in the Booking.
  15. Force Majeure: Any event or circumstance beyond the reasonable control of BaggageTAXI, rendering the performance of its obligations impossible or impracticable, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, war, terrorism, labor disputes, governmental acts, power failures, or any other events commonly recognized as force majeure under applicable law.
  16. Free Luggage Storage: A service allowing Customers to drop off and pick up Baggage at BaggageTAXI Headquarters (self-service) or designated mobile vans. Customers may avail up to 24 hours of free storage for up to three (3) bags, applicable to all services except long-term storage. Refer to Section 16 for further details.
  17. Handler: Employees or agents of BaggageTAXI, including drivers and customer service representatives, responsible for managing the Customer journey by collecting, securing, and delivering Baggage.
  18. Members: Users who have registered an Account and subscribed to BaggageTAXI services.
  19. Long Term Storage: Storage service provided for a minimum duration of thirty (30) days or more.
  20. Passenger Transportation: Passenger services provided in the UAE, primarily catering to tourists.
  21. Pricing: The fees for Services as displayed on BaggageTAXI’s Platform at the time the Booking is made.
  22. Prohibited & Restricted Items: Items prohibited for transport or storage under applicable law or regulation, including but not limited to hazardous, illegal, or dangerous goods, live animals, and any items deemed unsafe by BaggageTAXI. Customers assume full liability for the contents of their Baggage and any resulting damages. Customers are advised to consult relevant authorities, including the TSA guidelines (https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/whatcanibring/all) and local UAE regulations.
  23. Partners: Third-party companies registered with BaggageTAXI under a Partner or Affiliate Agreement to promote and facilitate BaggageTAXI services.
  24. Personal Items: Non-commercial, movable belongings owned by the Customer, intended solely for personal use.
  25. Refer & Earn: Individuals or entities registered with BaggageTAXI to promote its services in exchange for rewards or commissions.
  26. Same Day Storage Services: Includes up to 24 hours of storage concurrent with any booked service.
  27. Services: The collective services offered by BaggageTAXI, including but not limited to collection, delivery, storage, and transportation of Baggage/Items.
  28. Short Term Storage Service: Storage service provided for periods of less than thirty (30) days.
  29. Standard Baggage:
    Baggage whose size does not exceed 180 cm in total dimensions and weighs no more than 32 kg.
  30. Strollers, Baby Car Seat: These items are accepted for transport by BaggageTAXI.
  31. Storage Location: A secure storage facility AC, controlled, CCTV camera and security guarded, regulated to maintain room temperature at 24 ± 2 degrees Celsius in the UAE.
  32. International Shipping: Subject to terms and conditions of selected third-party logistics (3PL) carriers chosen by the Customer.
  33. Storage Services: Refers collectively to daily, short-term, and long-term storage options.
  34. UAE Transfer Delivery: Delivery services involving transport across different emirates within the United Arab Emirates.
  35. VIP Service: A premium service offering dedicated personnel and vehicle for exclusive door-to-door service during a specified time frame.
  36. You: Any individual or entity making a Booking Request or using the Platform, whether directly or indirectly.
  37. Your Baggage (or “Baggage”): Personal baggage accepted by BaggageTAXI for service provision. Animals are strictly excluded.

2. Acceptance of Terms

  1. By installing, accessing and/or using our Platforms and/or Services, you expressly agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must stop using the Platforms and/or Services immediately.
  2. In addition to these Terms, when using our Platform and/or Services, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions imposed by such partners, which may be made available by the relevant partner at any time. In the event of any conflict between such additional terms and these Terms, these Terms shall prevail.
  3. We reserve the right to revise these Terms at any time to accommodate new features, services and functionalities on the Platforms and/or Services in addition to reflecting prevailing changes in applicable laws. Such revised terms will apply from the date of publication and notification. We advise that you visit this page on a regular basis to review these Terms. If you continue to use Platforms and/or Services after the Terms have been updated, you will be deemed to have accepted the revised Terms. If you do not agree to such revised Terms, you must stop using the Platforms and/or Services with immediate effect.
  4. The rights and duties granted or imposed under these Terms operate to the extent not excluded by law (for example these Terms do not limit any consumer warranties that may not be excluded by contract). Nothing in these Terms will prevent us from complying with the laws of the United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom & United States.

 

3. Availability of Platforms & Services

  1. The Platforms and/or Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis and your usage of the Platforms and/or Services hereunder are constituted at your own risk.
  2. No warranty or undertaking is provided with respect to the Platform and/or Services regarding   fitness for any purpose or that the Platform and/or Services are, compatible, safe, secure, available, uninterrupted, or free from errors or defects or that any information or content provided by us is complete, accurate or of a certain quality. BaggageTAXI is under no obligation to update information on the Website or in the App.
  3. We reserve the right to alter, suspend or discontinue any part (or the whole of) the Platforms and/or Services. These Terms shall continue to apply to any modified version of the Platforms and/or the Services unless it is expressly stated otherwise. Except as otherwise expressly agreed by BaggageTAXI in writing, information regarding our Services is subject to change without notice

 

 

4. Disclaimers

  1. Information about our Services made available on and/or through the Platforms shall not constitute a representation, warranty, or any other commitment by BaggageTAXI with respect to any product or service offered unless otherwise expressly agreed to by BaggageTAXI in writing.
  2. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties of any kind (whether expressed or implied), including the implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement and freedom from defects, errors, viruses or other destructive code on the Platforms. Whilst we use reasonable endeavors to ensure that the Platforms are secure and free of errors, viruses and other malware, we give no warranty or guarantee in that regard and you must take responsibility for your own security, that of their personal details and their electronic devices.
  3. We accept no liability for any disruption or non-availability of the Platforms and/or Services.
  4. In case of Force Majeure such that BaggageTAXI is unable to perform in whole or in part its obligations set forth in these Terms, then BaggageTAXI shall be relieved of those obligations to the extent it is unable to perform them and such inability to perform shall not make BaggageTAXI liable to any other party.

 

5. Use of the Platforms and Services

  1. The use of our Platforms and Services require access to the internet and availability of the App. You are solely responsible for providing your own access (e.g. computer, mobile device, internet connection, etc.) to the Website and App.
  2. To authenticate your use of the Platforms and/or Services, we (or a designated third-party provider) may need to send you codes via text messages, emails or phone calls. You consent to receiving such communications from us.
  3. By creating an Account, you agree that BaggageTAXI may contact you via email, mail, phone or text messages at any of the addresses or phone numbers provided by you, or via the App. Communication may include, but is not limited to marketing purposes, general updates to Service usage , updates to App features, important user or company updates etc. 
  4. You may opt out of marketing communication via the provided unsubscribe link or by contacting us at any time at book@BaggageTAXI.com
     

6. Bookings & Services

  1. A Booking Request can be made via our hotline customer service, our website or application Platforms, or partners.
  2. BaggageTAXI reserves the right to decline or reject any Booking Request or to cancel any accepted Booking at its sole discretion.
  3. A Booking Request will only be deemed a confirmed Booking if you have received written confirmation (either via e-mail or other notification) confirming your Booking Request and the payment has been processed and accepted by us.
  4. BaggageTAXI reserves the right to refuse any baggage presented to us at our sole discretion without stating reasons. In such circumstances, the relevant Booking may be cancelled.
  5. You understand and acknowledge that we will not be required to provide our Services in respect of a Booking where the number of items of baggage submitted in the Booking is not equal to the number of items of baggage left at the Collection Point In such circumstances, the relevant Booking may be cancelled.
  6. You understand and acknowledge that access to the Platforms and/or provision of the Services may be suspended temporarily and without notice. We will not assume any liability and/or responsibility for such suspension.
  7. Anyone using our services agrees to our Terms and Conditions and understands the prohibited items usage policy.
  8. All Bookings & subsequent provision of Services are subject to these Terms.
  9. We have a 30-day, 100% money back guarantee for paid services, if you are not happy with services booked and paid for on our website and app.

 

7. Services Overview (price varies per country).

1. Scope of Services

BaggageTAXI provides curbside baggage collection, secure storage, and delivery services (including same-day delivery), with options for both short-term and long-term storage. Additional services include international shipping, VIP handling, and passenger transport in select regions.

2. Inclusions & Storage Fees

  • Each booking includes 24-hour complimentary storage:
    • Europe: up to two (2) baggage items
    • UAE: up to three (3) baggage items & long term storage two (2) bags
  • After the initial 24 hours, storage is charged at AED 29 per item per day for regular services except long-term storage.

3. Waiting Time & Flight Monitoring

  • We monitor incoming flights and typically arrive ~30 minutes post-landing. Our team remains in close proximity to the airport.
  • A maximum of 15 minutes of free waiting time is included. Beyond this, a charge of AED 2 per minute applies (rates may vary by country).
  • Alternatively, official airport parking charges may be billed when applicable.

4. Missed Pickups & Non-Collection

  • If baggage is not collected at the requested time, and customer service has not been informed, the items will automatically be moved to Daily Storage. This will be treated as regular service.

5. Identity Verification

  • Storage & Airport Services: Passport and valid ID are required. A copy will be retained for identity verification.
  • Hospitality Delivery: A copy of the passport and booking reference number must be provided.

6. Booking Options

  • On-Demand Service: Instant or within 60 minutes, subject to availability.
  • Pre-Scheduled Service: Preferred rates apply.
  • Hotel & Partner Collections: Bookings are accepted until the scheduled BaggageTAXI collection time.

7. Same-Day Delivery Storage

  • Storage for same-day delivery is valid up to 24 hours.

8. Cancellations & Changes

  • Cancellations within 120 minutes of scheduled time are non-refundable and charged in full.
  • One-time changes (date/time) are allowed free of charge if made more than 120 minutes prior.
  • Cancellations before 120 minutes of booking can be cancelled at no charge.
  • Further changes will follow a strict no-cancellation, non-refundable policy.

9. Booking Modifications (Short Notice)

  • Modifications made within 120 minutes of the scheduled time incur a non-refundable AED 80 amendment fee.

7.1. Delivery Services

a)       Express Service

  • Full pre-payment is required.
  • Direct, dedicated transfer from collection to delivery.
  • 15-minute grace period applies; AED 2/min charge thereafter.
  • AED 40 fee applies for curbside express delivery.
  • AED 10/bag fee for door-to-door delivery (no elevator); 32kg max per bag.
  • Limit: 20 bags per van. Over 20 = VIP service.

b)       VIP Service

  • Full pre-payment required.
  • Includes up to 2 handlers & 1 van for 6 hours.
  • Additional time billed per minute.
  • Max 40 bags per van (based on size). Oversize/extra van = additional fee.
  • Includes door-to-door delivery (32kg max per bag). BaggageTAXI is not liable for damage to or within property.

c)       Door-to-Door International Shipping

  • Full pre-payment required.
  • Insurance coverage must be paid extra and must be equals declared invoice value. Adjustments via customer service.
  • Transit time excludes customs processing.
  • Personal goods and custom clearance is not in our liability.
  • Service provided by third-party partners; their terms apply.

7.2. Partner & Passenger Services

a)       Partner & Alliance Services

  • Governed by the specific service agreement in place.

b)       Passenger Transportation with Storage

  • Full pre-payment required.
  • Services may be fulfilled by BaggageTAXI or authorized partners.
  • Pricing based on vehicle type and number of bags.
  • Changes/cancellations must be made at least 12 hours in advance.
  • Cancellations within 12 hours (non-airline or non-force majeure) are non-refundable.
  • Available vehicles include tourist vans and luxury options.

 

7.3. Storage Services: Daily, Short-Term & Long-Term

7.3.1. Daily / Short-Term Storage (1–30 Days)

  1. Pre-Payment & Deposit Requirement:
    • Full pre-payment is required at the time of booking.
    • A security deposit equal to the booking total is required and refundable upon timely collection.
  2. Booking Conditions:
    • All bookings must clearly indicate the number of days of storage.
    • Bookings that exceed 30 days will charged on regular rates.
  3. Uncollected Baggage:
    • Baggage not collected within 60 days from the original end date of booking will automatically transition into Long-Term Storage.
    • Items left uncollected beyond the total booked duration are held for a maximum of 6 months, after which they may be disposed of without further notice or liability.
  4. Third-Party Facility Terms:
    • Daily/Short-Term Storage services may be fulfilled through third-party storage providers, and therefore are subject to their facility-specific terms and access limitations on BaggageTAXI required quality SOP. BaggageTAXI is not liable for operational restrictions or conditions set by these third parties.

7.3.2. Long-Term Storage (30+ Days)

  1. Pre-Payment Requirements:
    • For durations under 60 days, full pre-payment is required.
    • For durations of 60+ days, clients may choose:
      Monthly auto-charge via credit card; or
      Full upfront cash payment + one-month security deposit.
  2. Security Deposit for Extended Storage:
    • Bookings of 6 months or more require a one-month equivalent deposit regardless of payment method.
  3. Rental Billing Cycle:
    • Storage is billed in 30-day blocks. Any partial month (e.g., 45 days) is charged as 2 full months.
  4. Early Removal:
    • Fees apply for early termination:
      • AED 250 – Removal/processing fee
      • AED 50 – Local delivery fee (if applicable)
    • If collection occurs within the first 30 days, standard Short-Term Storage rates apply unless waived in writing.
  5. Uncollected Baggage:
    • Items left beyond the booked term without communication will be held for a maximum of 6 months, then subject to sale or disposal with no liability.

7.3.3. Default, Non-Payment & Company Rights

  1. Payment Obligation:
    • Timely and complete payment is essential. Any outstanding amount ("Your Debt") allows BaggageTAXI to restrict access, retain possession, and initiate recovery processes.
  2. Possession & Access Control:
    • BaggageTAXI may:
      • Retain possession of items until full payment is received
      • Restrict customer or agent access
      • Relocate items at the customer’s expense and risk
      • Suspend or terminate related services
  3. Accruing Charges Post-Term:
    • Even after termination or contract end, storage and service fees continue to apply until full settlement is made or goods are lawfully retrieved or disposed.
  4. Disposition of Unpaid Goods:
    • Items related to overdue fees may be:
      • Sold to recover outstanding costs
      • Disposed of if unsellable or considered abandoned
      • Any surplus from sale (if applicable) will be held for 90 days, without interest
      • If sale proceeds fall short, the customer must settle the remaining balance within 7 days of written notice
      • Legal, administrative, and interest charges may apply on unpaid balances
  5. Notice Procedure:
    • A minimum 30-day written notice (via email, SMS, phone, or WhatsApp) will be issued before any sale or disposal action, stating the outstanding amount and allowing for settlement.
  6. Abandonment:
    • nsold, unsellable, or unclaimed goods will be deemed abandoned after 7 days of order fullfillment collection or delivery and may be disposed of without liability to BaggageTAXI or its partners.
  7. Exceptional Subscription Cancellations:
    • Annual subscription plans may be cancelled only with management approval, in cases such as documented job loss, upon submission of verifiable proof.
  8. Non-Payment Policy :
    • •Failure to make payment for the services provided by BaggageTAXI by the due date, anniversary date for month of service or invoice due date will incur an AED 100 late fee per storage unit per month.
    • •Failure to provide payment will cause the space to be locked by BaggageTAXI and restrict Occupant access; and failure to provide payment within 30 days of the due date will result in the transfer of ownership of the property storing in the Space from the Occupant to BaggageTAXI for the purpose of storage disposal, sale or any other legal action deemed necessary to recover any outstanding obligation by the Occupant.
    • •BaggageTAXI will have no obligation whatsoever to disclose information concerning the action taken, if any, and may still take the necessary legal measures to obtain full Payment for unpaid services provided to the Occupant.

8. Pricing and Payment

  1.        Transparent Pricing
    All service fees are clearly displayed on our website or app at the time of booking. In the event of a pricing discrepancy, we reserve the right to adjust the fee or cancel the service if a mutual agreement cannot be reached.
  2.        Advance Payment Required
    To confirm your booking, full payment must be made in advance using accepted digital methods, including credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, or other approved payment options.
  3.         Cash Payments for Members
    Registered Members may be eligible to pay in cash, subject to local regulations and service availability. In such cases, we guarantee service confirmation upon acceptance of the booking.
  4.        Inclusive of Taxes
    All listed prices include applicable Value Added Tax (VAT) or other relevant local taxes, unless stated otherwise.
  5.        Bank and Transaction Fees
    You are responsible for any bank or transaction fees charged by your financial institution in connection with your payment to us.
  6.          Late Payments
    If payment is not received by the due date, interest may be applied at the rate permitted by the applicable local law or central bank guidance. Interest is calculated daily from the due date until full settlement is made.
  7.        Your Tax Responsibility
    You are solely responsible for fulfilling any personal, corporate, or employment-related tax obligations that apply in your jurisdiction, including but not limited to income tax or payroll deductions.

9. Discount/Promo Code Usage

  1.        Finality of Discounted Bookings:
    Bookings made using any discount or promotional codes, or under special discounted rates, are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances once the booking has been confirmed.
  2.        Acceptance of Terms:
    By applying a discount or promo code and/or accepting a special discounted rate, you expressly acknowledge and agree that no monetary refunds shall be issued for such bookings.
  3.         Eligible Cancellations:
    In the event of a cancellation within an eligible cancellation period (as defined under our Cancellation Policy), BaggageTAXI may, at its sole discretion, issue credit to your account equivalent to the unused value of the service, provided the service has not yet been rendered or redeemed.
  4.        Exemptions – Holiday Home Partners & Affiliates:
    This clause shall not apply to Customers who have booked Services through BaggageTAXI’s authorized Holiday Home Partners. In such cases, the terms agreed upon between the Partner and Customer shall prevail.

10. Baggage Reduction Policy

  1.        Non-Refundable Reduction in Baggage Quantity:
    Any request to reduce the quantity of baggage in a confirmed Booking, whether made within the two (2) hours prior to the scheduled Collection Time or at the time of collection, shall not entitle the Customer to any refund, credit, or adjustment of the originally agreed-upon service fee.
  2.        No Credit or Reimbursement:
    No Bagxi Credits, wallet balance, or any other form of compensation shall be issued for unutilized baggage allowance once the Booking has been confirmed.

11. Baggage Increase Policy

  1. Additional Charges for Increased Baggage:
    Should the actual quantity, size, or type of baggage presented at the time of collection exceed the amount specified in the original Booking, additional charges will apply in accordance with BaggageTAXI’s current pricing schedule.
  2. Right to Refuse or Modify Booking:
    BaggageTAXI reserves the right to refuse excess baggage or modify the service scope where operationally unfeasible. In such cases, you may be required to make a new Booking or pay any applicable surcharges on-site or via the Platform.
  3. No Application of Promo Codes Post-Booking:
    Discount or promotional codes may not be retroactively applied to any additional baggage fees or services requested beyond the original Booking. Refer to Section 9 – Discount / Promo Code Usage.
  4. No Offset Against Reductions:
    Increases in baggage cannot be offset or balanced against previously reduced baggage under Section 1.4 – Baggage Reduction Policy. All increases are treated as separate billable adjustments.

12. Representations & Warranties

  1. You will ensure that all baggage is given to us at the Collection Point within the Collection Period and that all baggage is as specified in the Booking.
  2. You will ensure that all baggage is properly closed and secure, and that the weight of any one piece of baggage does not exceed 32 kg.
  3. You, warrant that the baggage conforms to the requirements of Standard Baggage as outlined in these Terms.
  4. You warrant to us that the baggage is free of any Prohibited Items and/or does not contain any Prohibited Item.
  5. You, warrant to us that you have full and complete authority to submit the baggage to our Services and, in the event, you are leaving or entrusting the baggage with a hotel concierge, travel representative or any other third-party person at the Collection Point, you:
    1.        warrant that you have done all things necessary to ensure that such person has been granted full and complete authority to represent your interests in respect of the Services and acknowledge that we shall be entitled to treat any such person as your lawful authorized representative.
    2.        you expressly assume all risk in respect of any third-party representation at the Collection Point and/or Delivery Point; and
    3.         You waive all claims against us and release us from any liability in relation to our collection, storage or delivery of the baggage in this manner.
  6. You warrant that you are acting at all times in respect of the Services in conformity and accordance with all applicable law.
  7. You, warrant that you have completed the Booking request accurately.
  8. You warrant that you have maintained appropriate travel or other insurance on the baggage commensurate to the value of the contents of the baggage for which we are providing the Services.
  9. You will pay us all Fees for our Services.
  10. You, remain responsible and liable for understanding and abiding by any maximum baggage allowance set by the relevant airline; and
  11. If we are unable to provide you with the Service that is the subject of a Booking due to you not being present at the:
    1. Collection Point within the Collection Period then we may cancel your Booking, and you will forfeit any paid pricing in respect of that Booking; or
    2. Collection Point within the Collection Period then we may store your baggage until an alternative collection appointment is arranged with you and you will reimburse us for all costs that we incur.

13. Collection & Security

  1. BaggageTAXI: We shall ensure that the Services are provided with reasonable skill and care;
  2. Security:
    1.        Each baggage piece will be secured with a tamper free security seal that has an individual barcode that is scanned onto our platform for security reasons.
    2.        You are liable for any personal goods/items you have put in your luggage, BaggageTAXI carries no liability as we do not check your baggage.
    3.         BaggageTAXI holds the right to have any baggage X-Rayed/Scanned as per local government needs.
    4.        We will not open or search for your bag without your consent unless we are required to do so by government authorities, police, or airport security authorities.
  3. We will use all reasonable endeavors to collect your baggage at the Collection Point during the Collection Period and to deliver your baggage to the Delivery Point during the Delivery Period. 
  4. We will not be required to provide the Services to you if:
    1.        events beyond our reasonable control mean that it is impossible or impractical for us to do so, including but not limited to an event of Force Majeure;
    2.        your baggage does not meet the security or safety requirements at any airport or at any other location where your baggage may be held or be in transit; or
    3.         you fail to deliver your baggage to the Collection Point within the Collection Period set out in your Booking.
    4.        you are a cash customer and have not registered as a member.
    5.        you fail to provide a passport copy on your booking.
    6.          you will not authorize us to secure your bags with our seals.
  5. In case deemed appropriate by BaggageTAXI:
    1.        we will place a secure non-breakable security tag on your bags at the Collection Point.
    2.        or will place our own locks on your baggage at the Collection Point.
    3.         All the above will be done Infront of you as tags will also be scanned.
  6. For the avoidance of doubt, the precautionary steps defined in Article 10.1 hereinabove shall not imply acceptance of responsibility of loss or damage to your baggage. BaggageTAXI shall under no circumstances be held liable for, nor be responsible for any loss or damage to your baggage.
  7. We will store your baggage at the Storage Location prior to your Baggage Pick-Up at the Delivery Point.
  8. You must collect your baggage from the Delivery Point during the Delivery Period. If you fail to do so, we shall be entitled to charge you additional storage fees and for redelivery to the Delivery Point as per Clause 12.
  9. In the event you ask us to deliver your baggage to a third party, then we will endeavor to deliver to that third party and will be discharged from any responsibility or liability in respect of such delivery to the designated third-party. BaggageTAXI may require proof of identification from the designated third-party indicated in the Booking (or a representative thereof) or any person that we are subsequently instructed to deliver to by you.
  10. If you fail to attend at the Baggage Collection within three hours of the scheduled Delivery Period, your baggage will be put in storage within 12 hours of the actual Collection Period which was the start of the booking, we reserve the right to leave the Delivery Point and immediately cancel the Service.

 

14. Airport - Lost Baggage Payment

  1. We have successfully retrieved many lost baggage in the past, and we’re committed to assisting you, however, please note that the final decision to release the baggage rests with the airports' baggage services.
  2. If, by any chance, the representative is unable to release the baggage, the fees paid will not be refunded as our dedicated handler will have already worked to retrieve your baggage from the airport.

 

15. Free Luggage Storage (price varies per country)

  • Bookings made under this category are individual bookings.
  • Eligibility of three baggage pieces for 24hrs.
  • Free Luggage Storage is applicable for customers of age 18 and above.
  • Free Luggage Storage is applicable for one booking per customer, per day, and per family name, according to their passport/ID.
  • Free Luggage Storage applies to all services for 3 bags for 24h.
  • Self-service customers that drop and pick up their bags at BaggageTAXI HQ in Dubai Media City have no charge, each additional bag above 3 is 29 AED for each additional hour.
  • Customers hailing mobile vans, one-time fee applies for one-way service of 80 AED.

Walk-in Customers

  1. Walk-in customers dropping and collecting their baggage themselves to and from our HQ or mobile storage units can store 3 bags for free for 24 hours.
  2. All baggage pieces will be sealed with tamper-free security seals. Normal storage rates apply past +24 hours, which are 29 AED per bag/24 hours.
  3. To avail this offer, you must have a confirmed booking.

Free Luggage Storage Upgraded to Include Pick-up & Delivery

  1. Customers can upgrade their orders to include pick-up and delivery services from 159 AED anywhere in Dubai for other Emirates other service fees apply.
  2. A handler will come to collect your baggage, securely seal it, store it in our facility, and then deliver it to your desired location, such as an airport or any other address within the UAE.

Free Luggage Storage Upgraded to Include Pick-up

  1. Customers can upgrade their orders to include pick-up services from 80 AED anywhere in Dubai for other Emirates other fee apply.
  2. A handler will come to collect your baggage, securely seal it, store it in our facility, and then you can collect the baggage from our HQ once the storage period expires.

Free Luggage Storage Upgraded to Include Drop-off (Last Mile Delivery) 

  1. Customers can upgrade their orders to include delivery services from 80 AED anywhere in Dubai for other Emirates other fee apply.
  2. A handler will cover the last mile for you and deliver the baggage once the storage period expires to your desired location anywhere within the UAE.

 

16. Packing Service Liability Disclaimer

As part of the BaggageTAXI service offering, customers may request support with the packing of baggage or other personal items. By requesting or accepting any packing assistance from the BaggageTAXI team, the customer expressly acknowledges and agrees to the following:

  1. No Liability: BaggageTAXI, its employees, agents, or representatives shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, misplacement, or deterioration of any items packed, regardless of the nature or value of such items.
  2. Customer Responsibility: The customer is solely responsible for verifying the contents and condition of all items packed. It is the customer's duty to ensure that all belongings are correctly placed, secured, and compliant with relevant transport or customs regulations.
  3. Acknowledgment: By proceeding with the packing service, the customer confirms and acknowledges that they accept full responsibility for the packed items and that BaggageTAXI is not liable for any claims, disputes, or damages arising from or in connection with the packing service.

This disclaimer forms an integral part of the service terms and is binding upon confirmation of the packing request.

 

17. Other Charges

  1. Pricing Transparency – Pricing varies seasonality, starting from 29 AED (price varies per country) per bag and services starting from Free to 159 AED  (price varies per country) for the first two items Dubai, other Emirates like Abu Dhabi may vary. All pricing is included VAT.
  2. Any promotional discounts could be applied and denied if not issued from BaggageTAXI.
  3. Any promotional discount in conjunction with another discounted rate, Bagxi credit is not eligible for joint usage. BaggageTAXI holds the right of refusal of any promotions or discount codes.
  4. In case of failure to collect your baggage at the Collection Point within the Collection Period, we retain the right to charge you the full amount of your booking.
  5. Do note that “One Baggage Booking’’ will include a maximum hold time of 24hours.
    1. If your baggage is not collected within 24 hours of the initial Collection Period, you will be charged a storage fee.
    2. Daily storage pricing can be retrieved through our booking channels.
    3. Daily timing and rates are in a 24hrs period.
    4. After 14 calendar days of storage, your baggage will be put on long-term storage and we will charge you per pricing terms. Whereas the first month will be charged 30 days short term storage + the remaining month, will be charged long-term storage fees.
  6. If you do not collect or pay for your baggage within the Collection Period for the Baggage Collection, we will be entitled to store your baggage until it is delivered to you. The daily storage fee is as per your booking period and updated pricing can be applied.
  7. General re-delivery of your baggage is 80 AED (price varies per country) as a amendment fee if made within 2 hours of booking period.  For UAE transit rates apply as per platform current pricing schedule.
  8. If you have not taken delivery of your baggage or paid any outstanding fees within one month of the end of the Collection Period as shown in your original Booking, you will be deemed to have renounced your rights in the baggage;
    1. this voids if you have made long-term storage arrangements exceeding 60 days.

 

18. Liability & Indemnity

  1. Subject to the following provisions of these Terms, we will only be liable for loss or damage to your baggage arising as a direct result of our Services, and provided that the baggage is not or does not contain a Prohibited Item.
  2. In the event of loss or damage to your baggage and where such loss or damage occurred due to a direct result of our Services, our liability shall not exceed $200 (two-hundred USD) in respect of an total loss of $1000 (one thousand USD) per Booking, please refer to clause 19.
  3. If customer opt-in for special add-on insurance a self- deductible of $250 will be charged per claim. Terms & Conditions of insurance company applies.
  4. For the purposes of these Terms, damage excludes fair wear and tear associated with the provision of the Services including damage to wheels, handles, zippers, scratched and fastenings.
  5. You agree to indemnify and hold BaggageTAXI, its officers, directors, employees and agents harmless from any and all claims, demands, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in connection with:
  6. (i) your use of the Platform (ii) your use of Services obtained through the Platform; (iIi) your breach or violation of this Agreement or (iv) your violation of the rights of any third party.
  7. All customers are sole responsible for the baggage content and will held be legally liable for not complying to the Terms & Conditions as outlaid and agreed when booking our services by you.
  8. BAGGAGETAXI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, PROPERTY DAMAGE RELATED TO, IN CONNECTION WITH, OR OTHERWISE RESULTING FROM ANY USE OF THE PLATFORM OR SERVICES, EVEN IF BAGGAGETAXI HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. BAGGAGETAXI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES, LIABILITY OR LOSSES ARISING OUT OF: (i) YOUR USE OF OR RELIANCE ON THE PLATFORM OR THE SERVICES OR YOUR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE PLATFORM OR THE SERVICES EVEN IF BAGGAGETAXI HAAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. BAGGAGETAXI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR DELAY OR FAILURE IN PERFORMANCE RESULTING FROM CAUSES BEYOND OUR REASONABLE CONTROL. IN NO EVENT SHALL BAGGAGETAXI’S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU IN CONNECTION WITH THE PLATFORM, THE SERVICES, ANY WEBSITE OR APPLICATION LINKED THERETO, ANY MATERIAL POSTED ON THE FOREGOING FOR ALL DAMAGES, LOSSES AND CAUSES OF ACTION EXCEED ONE THOUSAND UNITED STATES DOLLARS PER BOOKING.
  9. Passenger Liability and Child Safety Clause

1. Passenger Liability Waiver:
Passengers acknowledge and agree that BaggageTAXI, its affiliates, agents, drivers, and subcontractors shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, damage, or expense incurred during transportation, except in cases of proven gross negligence or willful misconduct. Passengers are responsible for their own safety and belongings while using the service.

2. Transportation of Children and Infants:
In compliance with applicable traffic and road safety laws, all children under the age of 12 must be secured in a suitable, age- and size-appropriate child restraint system (such as a car seat or booster seat). BaggageTAXI does not supply car seats by default. It is the sole responsibility of the parent or legal guardian to provide, install, and ensure the secure usage of the car seat. Drivers reserve the right to refuse transportation if these safety requirements are not met.

3. Transportation of Pets:
Pets are permitted in BaggageTAXI vehicles only upon prior notice and approval and must be transported in appropriate, secure pet carriers. Pets must not be placed on vehicle seats or transported without restraint. Passengers are fully responsible for the behavior, safety, and hygiene of their pets during the journey. Drivers reserve the right to refuse transport of any animal that is not appropriately contained or poses a safety risk.

4. Waiver of Claims:
By using the service, passengers (including parents, legal guardians, and pet owners) expressly waive any claims against BaggageTAXI, its drivers, agents, or affiliates for injury, damage, or loss arising from:

  • Improper or absent use of child restraint systems,
  • Pet-related incidents,
  • Failure to comply with applicable safety regulations or these terms.

 

 

19. Bag/Personal Items Protection

1.  BaggageTAXI may, at its sole discretion, provide compensation for lost, damaged, or stolen items related to the Storage Service, subject to the limitations, exclusions, and conditions set forth below.

2. BaggageTAXI includes Bag Protection per order. This Bag Protection, as referred to in these Terms, appliedto the loss, damage, or theft of Customers’ Items while utilizing the Services, in connection with items linked to a booking made via the BaggageTAXI Platform. BaggageTAXI will not compensate for incidental expenses such as transportation costs to or from Partners, additional accommodation, or alternative travel arrangements due to an inability to locate or retrieve the Item. Bag Protection is not an insurance policy and is provided solely at BaggageTAXI’s discretion.

3. If eligible for compensation under the Bag Protection (refer to Section 5.5 for details), BaggageTAXI may reimburse up to $1,000 (or €1,000 in the EU, £1,000 in the UK, or the equivalent in other currencies) based on the original value of the Item, adjusted for depreciation. BaggageTAXI will not reimburse replacement costs for the Item(s). The amount of compensation will be determined solely by BaggageTAXI based on the evidence provided and specific circumstances. BaggageTAXI reserves the right to deny any claim, including but not limited to cases involving suspected fraud, and any compensation decision is at BaggageTAXI’s reasonable discretion.

4. Bag Protection does not cover:

  • Items stored outside of the BaggageTAXI Platform.
  • Prohibited items as defined in clause 24.

5. Items that are not appropriately handled and/or packaged by the Customer or items that are inherently fragile or prone to damage, including, but not limited to, vases, glassware, artwork, photographs, liquids, and electronic devices lacking protective cases or covers, are not eligible for protection.

6. Items deemed abandoned, including items not retrieved by the booking check-out time, are excluded for Bag Protection. In cases where abandonment occurs, Partners may require the items to be shipped from the Partnering location(s), and Customers will be responsible for any Late Pick-Up Fee and shipping expenses per Section 4.5.5.

7. To qualify for Bag Protection compensation, Customers must:

  • Not have caused any intentional or unintentional harm to BaggageTAXI’s reputation.
  • Comply with these Terms.
  • Not have received compensation from an insurer or other party for the same loss, theft, or damage. Customers are required to disclose relevant communication with insurers or other compensating parties upon request. Failure to comply may result in claim denial.
  1. Customers may be required to cooperate with relevant entities, including the Partner and law enforcement, in resolving a claim, as well as with any security measures implemented by the Partner and their Affiliates regarding item handling, storage, retrieval, and shipment.
  2. Customers must have a valid booking for Storage Service and present proof of payment. Customers must demonstrate that:
  • The booking was made through the BaggageTAXI Platform, with all Partner interactions conducted solely through the Platform.
  • Photos of each tagged item were taken at check-in.
  • Other on-screen instructions were followed. Failure to complete any of these steps may void Bag Protection eligibility.
  1. Customers must notify BaggageTAXI handler and customer service at handover of baggage/items of any stolen, lost, or damaged items for which they seek protection by informing the driver/handler and then emailing book@BaggageTAXI.com within twelve (12) hours of the booking’s scheduled conclusion
  2. Customers must provide detailed information regarding the specific item(s) stored, including their condition before storage, at retrieval, and the value of each item included in the claim.
  3. Customers must provide evidence, beyond reasonable doubt, that the item was stolen, damaged, or lost while in storage as part of the Storage Service. Required documentation may include police reports, receipts, video footage, and any additional evidence requested. Failure to provide adequate documentation may lead to claim rejection, with adequacy determined at BaggageTAXI’s sole discretion.
  4. Additional Terms & Condition applies pending on third party insurance provider.

 

 

20. Liability for Illegal Goods

Customer Responsibility
By using BaggageTAXI’s services, you, as the customer, are solely responsible for ensuring that your luggage and its contents comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws. It is strictly prohibited to transport illegal, prohibited, or restricted items, including but not limited to hazardous materials, contraband, weapons, or substances that violate the laws of the United Arab Emirates or any jurisdiction in which BaggageTAXI operates.

 

Indemnification & Liability
BaggageTAXI expressly disclaims any and all liability for the contents of your luggage. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BaggageTAXI, its employees, agents, and partners from any claims, losses, damages, legal actions, or penalties arising from or related to the transportation, storage, or delivery of illegal goods. In the event that BaggageTAXI or any of its employees, agents, or partners are subject to legal actions, claims, or investigations due to the contents of your luggage, you agree to bear full responsibility for all associated costs. This includes but is not limited to legal fees, penalties, fines, and any other expenses incurred by all parties involved in addressing the matter.

 

Subject to Local Laws
Customers are solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws regarding the contents of their luggage. BaggageTAXI shall cooperate fully with local authorities in investigations or legal actions involving the transportation of illegal or prohibited goods, including the sharing of customer information where required by law. You agree to bear all financial costs, including legal and administrative costs, incurred by BaggageTAXI or third parties as a result of such investigations or actions.

By using BaggageTAXI’s services, you acknowledge that any violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of services without refund and potential legal action.

 

21. Reviews

Upon completion of the Service, Customers may submit a review of our or partnering location. All reviews must reflect an accurate and truthful account of the experience and shall not include language that is discriminatory, offensive, defamatory, abusive, or hostile in nature or damaging to the brand. All reviews must have a real paid booking to be posted and could be used on our website or apps or marketing purposes.

 

22. Data Privacy

By using the BaggageTAXI service and accepting these Terms, you acknowledge and agree that we will collect, store, and process your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data under applicable laws, including GDPR, UK DPA 2018, UAE PDPL, and U.S. privacy regulations.

 

This includes information such as your name, contact details, pickup and delivery addresses, travel itinerary, and—where required—passport or national ID details. We process this data to fulfill your booking, provide customer support, comply with legal obligations, and improve our services. We may also contact you after your service to offer relevant promotions or updates.

If you are booking on behalf of someone else, it is your responsibility to ensure they have been informed of our Privacy Policy and have consented to their data being processed in the same way.

Personal data is retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected. Booking data is generally retained for up to one year unless you are a registered user or there is a legal basis for retaining it longer. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing privacy@baggagetaxi.com.

 

23. Right of Service Refusal

By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you acknowledge and agree that BaggageTAXI reserves the right to refuse services to any customer who engages in threatening behavior or uses offensive language in public spaces in public forums, including but not limited to social media platforms, review websites, and public events regarding the brand. Such behavior includes but is not limited to verbal threats, harassment, derogatory language, and defamation directed towards BaggageTAXI or its affiliates. We are committed to maintaining a respectful and safe environment for our employees, customers, and the public. Any violation of this policy may result in immediate termination of services and legal action if deemed necessary.

 

24. Prohibited Items & Dangerous Goods Policy 

Our policy aims to ensure the safety of all customers & passengers and the aircraft itself by strictly prohibiting the transportation of certain items that may pose risks or cause harm. Prior to your travel, we strongly recommend familiarizing yourself with our Prohibited Items & Dangerous Goods Policy to avoid any inconveniences. 

 

Please be aware that in addition to the regulations set by the UAE, the acceptance of certain items such as alcohol, cigarettes, e-cigarettes, perfumes, electronics, and medication, whether in the cabin or checked-in baggage, may be subject to specific customs regulations and security checks in your country of departure or arrival. 

 

  1. Forbidden Items     

Forbidden items are articles or substances that can endanger the safety of passengers or aircraft. It is strictly prohibited to bring these items on board. For a comprehensive list of forbidden items, please refer to the tables below. It's important to note that local government restrictions may apply, so we advise checking with the authorities of your departure and destination country. 

 

Some Airlines may prohibit the transportation of smart balance wheels, even with the lithium batteries removed, whether as checked-in or carry-on baggage. 

 

Banned substances in the UAE 

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has a zero-tolerance, strict anti-drug policy. All airports in the UAE conduct thorough searches using highly sensitive equipment. Travelers entering or transiting the UAE are subject to punishment for possessing any amounts of illegal drugs. 

 

Bringing medication into the UAE 

If you are carrying controlled medication into the UAE, you must apply for approval through the Ministry of Health (MoH) website. It is important to consult your doctor to determine if your prescribed medication is considered controlled. For controlled medication, you must carry the prescription and the quantity should not exceed a 3-month supply. Other medications, including prescription for uncontrolled medication and over-the-counter medication, do not require prior approval from MoH.

  1. Before you leave for the airport 

We strongly advise travelers to the UAE to familiarize themselves with the regulations regarding the transportation of medications. If you are considering taking medications or other drugs into the UAE, please contact the nearest Embassy or Consulate of the United Arab Emirates for advice. A list of United Arab Emirates consulates can be found on their official website. 

 

Alcohol 

Alcoholic beverages containing more than 24% but not exceeding 70% alcohol by volume, in retail packaging, with a total net quantity of 5 L per person, are allowed in both carry-on and     checked-in baggage. 

 

Drones 

For safety reasons, drones are not allowed as cabin baggage but can be accepted as checked-in baggage. However, please note that drones are not permitted on flights to Jordan. If you have a drone in your checked-in baggage on other flights, you will be required to secure the lithium batteries within the drone or remove the batteries and carry them in your cabin baggage. 

 

E-cigarettes 

E-cigarettes and similar devices containing batteries must be individually protected to prevent accidental activation. They are allowed in carry-on baggage but not in checked-in baggage. 

 

 

  1. Batteries and battery-powered devices 

Spare batteries, including lithium metal or lithium-ion cells or batteries, for portable electronic devices must be carried in carry-on baggage only. Power banks and other devices primarily used as power sources are considered spare batteries. Each passenger is limited to a maximum of 20 spare batteries. 

Certain lithium batteries with specific watt-hour ratings or lithium content require prior approval and should be carried in carry-on baggage only. Please refer to our guidelines or contact us for more information. 

 

Lithium Batteries: Portable electronic devices 

Passengers are allowed to carry portable electronic devices containing lithium metal or lithium-ion cells or batteries, such as cameras, mobile phones, laptops, and tablets, for personal use. Certain restrictions apply to the lithium metal content and watt-hour ratings. Each passenger is limited to a maximum of 15 personal electronic devices. 

 

Lithium Batteries: Security type equipment 

Security-type equipment containing lithium batteries can only be accepted with prior approval from Group Security. 

 

Smart baggage with removable batteries 

Smart bags are allowed in the cabin if the battery is removable and within the size and weight limits for cabin baggage. The battery must be turned off completely. If the battery is not removable or the smart bag exceeds the size/weight limitations, it cannot be carried on some airlines flight. 

 

Battery-powered wheelchairs and mobility aids 

Battery-powered wheelchairs and mobility aids have specific requirements depending on the type of battery used. Some may require prior approval. We recommend making advance arrangements with your airlines for a smooth travel experience. 

 

Mobility Aids: Spillable  

Battery-powered wheelchairs or similar mobility devices with spillable batteries or lithium batteries can be transported if they can be loaded, stowed, secured, and unloaded in an upright position. In such cases, the battery should remain installed in the wheelchair, with the battery terminals protected to prevent short circuits. The battery must also be securely attached to the wheelchair or mobility aid. Additional restrictions apply to lithium batteries, and it is advisable to make advance arrangements with the Airlines as approval is needed. 

 

Mobility Aids: Collapsible Lithium-ion Batteries Mobility Aids:  

Battery-powered mobility aids equipped with collapsible lithium-ion batteries. The lithium-ion battery must be removed and carried in the cabin. For wheelchairs, the batteries should not exceed 300 watt hours, or for devices requiring two batteries, each battery must not exceed 160 watt hours. An additional spare battery, not exceeding 300 watt hours, or two spare batteries, each not exceeding 160 watt hours, can be carried in the cabin.

Personal Motorized Vehicles  

For safety reasons, personal motorized vehicles such as hoverboards, mini-Segways, and self-balancing wheels are not allowed on our flights. Some airlines prohibits the transportation of these devices, regardless of whether they have batteries, as checked or carry-on baggage. This policy remains in effect even if you are connecting from an airline that permits them.

  1. Compressed Gas Cartridges, Cylinders, and Aerosols  

Avalanche Rescue Backpack Each person is allowed to carry one avalanche rescue backpack containing a cartridge of compressed gas (Division 2.2). The backpack may also have a pyrotechnic trigger mechanism containing no more than 200 milligrams net of Division 1.4S. The backpack must be packed in a way that prevents accidental activation, and the airbags within the backpack must have pressure relief valves.

Gas Cartridges, Small, Non-flammable  

Small gas cartridges containing carbon dioxide or another suitable gas (Division 2.2) can be carried in a self-inflating safety device like a lifejacket or vest. Each customer is limited to one device and can carry up to two spare small cartridges. For other devices, up to four cartridges with a water capacity of 50 milliliters or less are allowed per person.

Hair Curlers Containing Hydrocarbon Gas  

Customers and crew members are permitted to carry up to one hair curler containing hydrocarbon gas. The safety cover must be securely fitted over the heating element. These hair curlers should not be used onboard the aircraft. Gas refills for such curlers are not allowed in checked or carry-on baggage.

Non-flammable, Non-toxic Aerosols in Division 2.2  

Non-flammable, non-toxic aerosols in Division 2.2 without any subsidiary risk can be carried in checked baggage for sporting or home use. The total net quantity of non-radioactive medicinal or toiletry articles and non-flammable, non-toxic aerosols must not exceed 2 kilograms or 2 liters. The net quantity of each single article should not exceed 0.5 kilograms or 0.5 liters. Aerosol release valves must be protected to prevent accidental release.

  1. Fuel and Fuel Cartridges  

Camping Stoves and Fuel Containers Camping stoves and fuel containers that have previously contained flammable liquid fuel can be carried if the fuel tank and/or container has been completely drained of all liquid fuel and rendered safe.

Fuel Cells  

Fuel cells containing fuel and powering portable electronic devices such as cameras, cellular phones, laptop computers, and camcorders can be carried in the cabin.

Fuel Cell Cartridges  

Spare fuel cell cartridges for portable electronic devices can be carried in the cabin.

Internal Combustion or Fuel Cell Engines 

Internal combustion or fuel cell engines must meet the requirements of IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations Special Provision A70, which states that the engine must be free of any fuel used for power.

  1. Medical Items  

Insulated Packaging Containing Refrigerated Liquid Nitrogen Insulated packaging containing refrigerated liquid nitrogen (dry shipper) is allowed if the liquid nitrogen is fully absorbed in a non-dangerous porous material.

Oxygen or Air, Gaseous, Cylinders  

Cylinders of oxygen or air, gaseous, required for medical use must not exceed 5 kilograms' gross weight. Note: Liquid oxygen systems are not permitted for transport.

Radio isotopic Cardiac Pacemakers  

Radioisotope cardiac pacemakers or other devices, including those powered by lithium batteries, implanted into or fitted externally to a person, or radiopharmaceuticals contained within a person's body as a result of medical treatment, can be carried in the cabin.

Specimens, Non-infectious  

Specimens, non-infectious, packed in small quantities of flammable liquid, must comply with IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations Special Provision A180. For details regarding special packaging requirements for such specimens, refer to the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.

Thermometer or Barometer, Mercury Filled  

Mercury-filled thermometers or barometers carried by representatives of government weather bureaus or similar official agencies must be packed in strong outer packaging with a sealed inner liner or a bag made of leak-proof and puncture-resistant material impervious to mercury, preventing its escape regardless of the package's orientation. 

Approval is needed from the Airlines. 

 

Thermometer, Medical or Clinical  

Medical or clinical thermometers containing mercury are allowed, with a limit of one per person for personal use, when stored in their protective case.

Powder-like Substances  

Flights to, from, or through the USA, Australia, and New Zealand are subject to enhanced security screening measures. Powder-like substances in containers equal to or exceeding 350 ml/grams must be checked in and are not permitted in carry-on or cabin baggage. These items will be confiscated at Dubai (DXB), Milan (MXP), and Athens (ATH) based on the last point of departure. Powders under 350 ml/grams may be subject to additional screening. Exemptions apply to baby formula, prescription medicines, and human remains. Powder-like substances purchased in airport duty-free shops must be placed in Sealed Tamper Evident Bags along with proof of purchase.

Scientific, Professional, and Personal Attaché Cases  

Security-type attaché cases, cash boxes, cash bags, etc., containing dangerous goods such as lithium batteries and/or pyrotechnic material are strictly prohibited, unless authorized by the airline.

Chemical Agent Monitoring Equipment  

Chemical Agent Monitoring Equipment, including instruments containing radioactive material within the limits specified in IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations Table 10.3.C, can be securely packed and carried by staff members of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) on official travel. The equipment must not include lithium batteries. 

Approval is needed from the Airlines. 

 

Dry Ice (Carbon Dioxide, Solid) Dry ice (solid carbon dioxide) can be carried in checked or carry-on baggage when used to pack perishables not subject to these regulations. The quantity of dry ice should not exceed 2.5 kilograms per person, and the baggage or package must allow for the release of carbon dioxide gas. Checked baggage should be labeled as "dry ice" or "carbon dioxide, solid" along with the net weight of dry ice (2.5 kilograms or less).

Heat-Producing Articles 

Battery-powered equipment capable of generating extreme heat, such as underwater torches (diving lamps) and soldering irons, can be transported if the heat-producing component of the battery is packed separately to prevent activation during transport. Any removed battery must be protected against short circuits.

Lamps  

Energy-efficient lamps intended for personal or home use and in retail packaging can be carried in both carry-on and checked baggage.

Matches and Small Cigarette Lighters  

Individuals are allowed to carry one small packet of safety matches or a small cigarette lighter without unabsorbed liquid fuel, except for liquefied gas. These items are intended for personal use and should be carried on the person. Note: "Strike anywhere" matches, "Blue flame," or "Cigar" lighters are prohibited.

Medicinal or Toilet Articles Non-radioactive medicinal or toilet articles, including aerosols such as hair sprays, perfumes, colognes, and alcohol-containing medicines, can be carried in both carry-on and checked baggage. The total net quantity of these articles and non-flammable, non-toxic aerosols (Division 2.2) must not exceed 2 kilograms or 2 liters. Each single article should not exceed 0.5 kilograms or 0.5 liters. Release valves on aerosols must be protected to prevent accidental release.

Permeation Devices  

Permeation devices used for calibrating air quality monitoring equipment must comply with IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations Special Provision A41, which specifies packaging requirements.

Weaponry, Ammunition, and Explosives  

Ammunition Individuals are allowed to carry securely packaged ammunition (cartridges for weapons) in quantities not exceeding 5 kilograms' gross weight per person, for personal use only. Allowances for multiple individuals should not be combined into one or more packages.

Disabling Devices Disabling devices, such as mace, pepper spray, or any other irritant or incapacitating substance, are strictly forbidden in both checked and carry-on baggage.  All Forbidden 

 

Electroshock Weapons  

Electroshock weapons (e.g., Tasers) containing dangerous goods such as explosives, compressed gases, lithium batteries, etc., are not allowed in carry-on or checked baggage or on the person.

All items containing explosives, including fireworks, Christmas crackers, firecrackers, bottle rockets, poppers, and sparklers, are prohibited in both carry-on and checked baggage on our flights.

Passengers and Cabin Baggage - List of Prohibited Articles  

Passengers are not allowed to carry the following articles into security-restricted areas and on board an aircraft: 

 (a) Guns, Firearms, and Other Projectile Discharge Devices: Including firearms of all types, toy guns, replicas, compressed air and CO2 guns, signal flare pistols, bows, crossbows, harpoon guns, and slingshots.  

(b) Stunning Devices: Including stun guns, tasers, animal stunners, disabling and incapacitating chemicals, gases, and sprays.  

(c) Objects with Sharp Points or Edges: Including axes, hatchets, cleavers, ice axes, ice picks, razor blades, box cutters, knives with blades over 6 cm, scissors with blades over 6 cm, martial arts equipment, swords, and sabres. 

(d) Workmen's Tools: Including crowbars, drills, tools with blades or shafts over 6 cm, saws, blowtorches, bolt guns, and nail guns.  

(e) Blunt Instruments: Including baseball and softball bats, clubs, and batons, martial arts equipment. (f) Explosives and Incendiary Substances and Devices: Including ammunition, blasting caps, detonators and fuses, replica or imitation explosive devices, mines, grenades, fireworks, smoke-generating canisters and cartridges, dynamite, gunpowder, and plastic explosives. 

Hold Baggage - List of Prohibited Articles Passengers are not allowed to carry the following articles in their hold baggage: Explosives and Incendiary Substances and Devices: Including ammunition, blasting caps, detonators and fuses, mines, grenades, fireworks, smoke-generating canisters and cartridges, dynamite, gunpowder, and plastic explosives.

Restricted goods are goods whose import and export is restricted under the same law above and applicable regulations, and they need prior approval from the authorities concerned prior to import or export. 

Banned items include, but are not limited to: 

  • controlled/recreational drugs and narcotic substances

  • items used in black magic, witchcraft or sorcery 
  • publications and artwork that contradict or challenge Islamic teachings and values

  1. The Platforms may include links to third party websites that are controlled and maintained by third parties. Any link to such websites is not an endorsement by us of such websites and you acknowledge and agree that BaggageTAXI shall not be responsible for the content or availability of any such sites.
  2. The failure to exercise or enforce any right conferred upon either party of these Terms will not be deemed to be a waiver of any such right.
  3. BaggageTAXI will cooperate with and comply with instructions and requested by law enforcement authorities as required by applicable law. Such cooperation shall include regarding your baggage and/or your use of the Platforms or the Services if requested.
  4. If these Terms or parts thereof are deemed unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable, then that part shall be deemed to be severable from these Terms and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any of the remaining parts.
  5. These Terms shall be in English language and may be translated into any other languages than English provided however that the English text will always prevail. Any notice given in connection with these Terms shall be in English.
  6. You may not assign any of your rights or novate your obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign any of our rights or obligations to any other entity or person and transfer your information in connection with a sale, merger, acquisition, restructure or otherwise to any of our related entities or successor entities.
  7. A provision of, or a right created under these Terms in BaggageTAXI’s favor may not be waived except where executed in writing by BaggageTAXI.

 

26. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), applying the laws of England and Wales. You agree that the courts of ADGM shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or their subject matter or formation.
